Kindle vs Nook – Summary
By now, you should know which of these e-Readers is the perfect fit for you and your needs. With Amazon’s new product line-up and their very aggressive pricing, I believe the Kindle is the obvious way to go. The only thing left to decide after that is which model of Kindle is best for your needs based on what you want to do with your new e-Reader.
Are you looking for an e-reader that is small and lightweight, easy to pack when traveling lightly? Are you looking for the absolute best pricing? If so, you need to grab the basic Kindle! (Just $79)
Do you want a touch screen? How about an e-reader with text to speech functionality and the ability to listen to audio books? Want more features without adding a too much to the price? Most importantly, are you looking for an e-reader with an advanced e-ink screen to make you feel like you are reading right off the pages of a paperback book? Go grab the $99 Kindle Touch (or $149 for the 3G version)!
Black and white not your style? Want to take a break from reading books now and then? How about a vibrant color touch screen and the ability to browse the web at lightning speeds or load up your favorite Apps? How about adding millions of movies, games, and magazines into the already impressive library of books available for Kindle? The all new Kindle Fire (only $199) may very well be your new favorite gadget!
The Nook and Nook Color are great devices, but until Barnes and Noble releases a new model and/or lowers their prices, I just don’t see how they can compete with Amazon’s impressive line-up.
